Fuel Management
Dellem's Method of Operation:
- Works for the client - NOT the supplier. Dellem does not independently purchase, acquire or deal in aviation fuel supplies, other than for the account of each client, and has no financial or ownership relation with any fuel supplier or re-seller.
- Dellem does not charge for services based upon cost or volume of fuel purchased - only upon the time necessary to fulfill fuel acquisition and management requirements for the client.
- Dellem obtains fuel from a multitude of Suppliers ensuring the lowest fuel costs enabling Dellem's client to receive quality products at reduced cost.
Dellem Associates will provide a complete Aviation Fuel Department to cover all aspects of Jet Fuel Acquisition and Management or, at client's selection, will supplement the airline's existing Fuel Department. Either course will permit client's personnel to perform their primary job functions in operating the airline, thereby reducing client's direct and overhead costs.
To accomplish these functions, Dellem will perform all functions in relation to the acquisition and management of all fuel for the client including:
- Analysis of aircraft operating schedules to determine optimal operational jet fuel volume and tankering needs by station to minimize overall fuel costs for the system.
- Determination of the optimum economic combination of fuel supplier and into-plane agent available at each location through use of a proprietary computer database system.
- Negotiation for the acquisition and into-plane servicing of fuel worldwide for the account of the client at the best price available at each destination commensurate with client's requirements.
- Provide client's operations personnel the lowest price locations for fuel stops en route, consistent with flight operations.
- Obtain registration for the exemption from U.S. Federal and State Fuel Taxes and obtain refunds where applicable.
- Provide client Management with full summary and detailed reports on fuel usage and cost, system wide.
- Prepare/Receive and review contracts for fuel and into-plane servicing.
- Establish supply for emergency diversion points - 24 hours a day.
- Provide continuous monitoring of prices at all locations and the market as a whole.
- Receive, review and approve all fuel-related invoices for client.
- Perform the mandatory quality control inspections of fuel facilities utilized for servicing to ensure they meet the client's as well as industry regulations and requirements.
